Very important is a road loss of second ranked Ryukyu GK (15-6) against fourth ranked Osaka E. (10-11) on Sunday night. Visiting Ryukyu GK was defeated by Osaka E. in Osaka 88-76. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. It was a great shooting night for Osaka E. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) nailed a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and guard DJ Newbill (193-92, college: Penn St.) accounted for 19 points and 9 assists. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) came up with 24 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Ryukyu GK in the defeat. Five Osaka E. and four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. Ryukyu GK's coach Hiroki Fujita rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Osaka E. maintains fourth place with 10-11 record. Loser Ryukyu GK keeps the second position with six games lost. They share it with Kawasaki BT. Osaka E. will meet Shinshu BW (#6) in the next round. Ryukyu GK will play against Shimane Magic (#5) and hope to secure a win.
