It was an exceptional evening for Finnish power forward Maria Aijanen (187-95) who led the winners and scored 13 points and 5 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Swingman Irene Gari (185-94, college: Georgia Tech) accounted for 11 points for the winning side. Ferrol's coach Lino Lopez allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Russian power forward Maria Davydova (190-93, college: FIU) came up with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian Maja Stamenkovic (187-91) added 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for RC Celta in the defeat. Ferrol have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 11-0 record. RC Celta at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Ferrol will play against Rosalia (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. RC Celta will play against Coruna (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
