Regular Season Round 11: Ragusa - Schio 63-52

The game between third ranked Schio (8-2) and fourth ranked Ragusa (7-2) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Schio was defeated by Ragusa in Ragusa 63-52. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Schio. It was a great evening for American swingman Tyaunna Marshall (175-92, college: Georgia Tech) who led her team to a victory scoring 13 points and 8 rebounds. International guard Nicole Romeo (167-89, college: Washington) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists. French center Sandrine Gruda (193-87) responded with 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Giorgia Sottana (175-88) scored 8 points and 5 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ragusa have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 7-2 record. Defending champion Schio keeps the third position with two games lost. Ragusa are looking forward to face Campobasso (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Schio will play against Costa Masnaga (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
