Premier League top team - Gorizont (11-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Gomel (0-11) in Minsk 101-46. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They held Gomel to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 61.5 percent accuracy of the winners. Gorizont looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Gomel's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Gorizont made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was guard Maryia Trafimenkava (167-2) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). The former international center Viktoryia Hasper (192-88) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Gorizont players scored in double figures. Forward Anna Hatskevich (180-92) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 19 rebounds and point guard Ilona Katsyro (170-5) added 13 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Gorizont have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 11-0 record. Loser Gomel still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Gorizont will meet at home Victoria (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Gomel will play against COR Victoria and hopes to get finally their first victory.
