Regular Season Round 8: Dinamo - Kutaisi 107-110 OT

Dinamo (#7) forced the game against Kutaisi (#1) into an overtime, but lost by three points 107-110 on Sunday night. The game took place in Tbilisi. But the guests from Kutaisi were better at the end. Dinamo was trailing by 8 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 29-27 charge of Kutaisi, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. They were better in overtime eventually winning that period 17-14. Kutaisi made 24-of-28 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. Kutaisi looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Dinamo was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Kaheem Ransom (183-93, college: SHSU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import guard DeJuan Wright (190-88, college: FIU) who added 25 points and 4 assists (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) during the contest. International point guard Luka Bulashvili (192-98) responded with 38 points (!!!) and 6 assists and forward Vladimer Tavakarashvili (197-2) scored 25 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Kutaisi (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row. Dinamo lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
