Very important is a road loss of second ranked San Lorenzo (7-4) against ninth ranked Comunicaciones (5-9) on Monday night. Visiting San Lorenzo was defeated by Comunicaciones in Mercedes 90-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of San Lorenzo. Comunicaciones dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to San Lorenzo's 30. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. San Lorenzo was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Comunicaciones have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place, which they share with La Union and Obera. San Lorenzo at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with Obras. Comunicaciones will play against Bahia (#10) in Bahia Blanca in the next round. San Lorenzo will play at home against Olimpico de La Banda (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
