Regular Season Round 4: Al Gharafa - Al Arabi 100-65

The biggest surprise took place in Doha where host Al Gharafa (4-0) crushed league's leader Al Arabi (3-1) 100-65 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Al Arabi. It was a key game for the top position in the league. American center Tyler Harris (208-93, college: Auburn) fired 26 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international swingman Abdulrahman Saad (185-96) chipped in 25 points and 9 assists. Harris is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Al Gharafa players scored in double figures. South Sudanese-Lebanese center Ater Majok (208-87, college: UConn) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international forward Sammy Monroe (198-85, college: Newberry) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Al Gharafa have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. Al Arabi at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Al Gharafa. Al Arabi will play next round against Al Khor trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Al Gharafa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
