Regular Season Round 5: Al Ahli - Al Jubaiha 110-90

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Al Jubaiha (4-1) in Amman on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Al Ahli (5-0) 110-90. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Al Jubaiha. It was a key game for the top position in the league. They outrebounded Al Jubaiha 57-32 including a 23-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al Ahli looked well-organized offensively handing out 33 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) who had a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 blocks. International center Mohammad Hussein (210-90) chipped in a double-double by scoring 24 points and 20 rebounds. Five Al Ahli players scored in double figures. International guard Sami Bzai (190-94, college: SE Oklahoma) produced 29 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international forward Ahmad Obeid (200-90) added 27 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests.
