Leader Sao Paulo delivered the ninth victory. This time they beat 15th ranked Cerrado (1-10) 91-83. Sao Paulo shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 55.2 percentage. It was a good game for the former international point guard Georginho de-Paula (197-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) contributed with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. American JC Fuller (194-94, college: W.Illinois, agency: Slash Sports) replied with 17 points and 8 assists and guard Paulo Da-Costa (193-94) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Cerrado. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Sao Paulo (9-2) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory Sao Paulo went down to third position due to points difference. Cerrado lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom place with ten games lost. They share the position with Caxias do Sul. Sao Paulo will play against Fortaleza (#7) on the road in the next round. Cerrado will play against Pato Basquete (#10) in Pato Branco to get more than just one victory in their record.
