The game between closely ranked teams ended with 12th ranked Rybnik's (1-11) home loss to eleventh ranked Cracovia (4-7) 71-77 on Wednesday. Cracovia forced 23 Rybnik turnovers. Strangely Rybnik outrebounded Cracovia 48-30 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Point guard Sebastian Dabek (188-96) stepped up and scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and point guard Kacper Nowak (188-99) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. At the losing side forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) responded with 24 points and 8 rebounds and center Tomasz Czajkowski (203-82) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Cracovia moved-up to tenth place. Rybnik lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Cracovia's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Krakow to the arena AZS AGH KR.
