Regular Season Round 19: Guangsha L. - Sichuan BW 105-110

Everything could happen in Hangzhou at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Blue Whales and 9th ranked Guangsha Lions had identical 9-7 record. But Guangsha Lions were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Sichuan 110-105. Blue Whales outrebounded Guangsha Lions 47-36 including 33 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 28 personal fouls committed by Guangsha Lions helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. U.S. Virgin Islands-American forward Marcus Georges-Hunt (196-94, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Pensack Sports) fired 35 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Point guard Tangwen Yuan (185-0) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) produced a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and the former international center Jinqiu Hu (210-97) added 19 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Blue Whales and five Guangsha Lions players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Blue Whales went down to ninth position due to points difference. Guangsha Lions at the other side dropped to the eighth place with eight games lost. Blue Whales' next round opponent will be higher ranked Flying Tigers (#4) in Urumqi and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
