No shocking result in a game when third ranked Faenza (8-1) outleveled at home 12th ranked Livorno (3-8) 79-49 on Wednesday. Faenza made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Faenza outrebounded Livorno 31-19 including 26 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lucia Morsiani (186-92) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and point guard Federica Franceschelli (176-97) who added 14 points during the contest. Four Faenza players scored in double figures. Faenza's coach Paolo Rossi felt very confident using 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The best for the losing side was forward Francesca Evangelista (180-93) with 14 points and guard Sara Giangrasso (178-0) scored 14 points. Faenza moved-up to second place in A2. Loser Livorno dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Faenza will face San Salvatore (#4) at home in the next round. Livorno will play against Ponte Bugg. (#13) in Ponte Buggianese and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
