Rather predictable result when fourth ranked Ragusa (9-2) beat at home 8th ranked San Martino (4-7) 63-57. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Ragusa forced 19 San Martino turnovers. The winners were led by international guard Nicole Romeo (167-89, college: Washington) who scored that evening 24 points and American center Isabelle Harrison (190-93, college: Tennessee) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 9 rebounds by American guard Jolene Anderson (173-86, college: Wisconsin) did not help to save the game for San Martino. Forward Giulia Ciavarella (183-97) added 14 points. Ragusa have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Schio. San Martino at the other side keeps the eighth position with seven games lost. Ragusa's next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Battipaglia (#14) at home which should be an easy win for them. San Martino will play against Vigarano (#13) and hope to win that game.
