Regular Season Round 13: Arka 2 - AWFiS Gdynia 140-65

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Arka 2 (8-2) outscored at home 12th ranked AWFiS Gdynia (1-10) 140-65 on Wednesday. Arka 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to AWFiS Gdynia's 40. Arka 2 forced 29 AWFiS Gdynia turnovers and outrebounded them 40-27 including 16 on the offensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 52.4 percentage. Arka 2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by AWFiS Gdynia's players. Guard Marcin Kowalczyk (190-2) stepped up and scored 26 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners and guard Olaf Perzanowski (195-2) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Arka 2 players scored in double figures. Coach Milos Mitrovic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Mateusz Burlinski (196-0) responded with 16 points and swingman Konrad Niewczas (191-98) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Arka 2. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. AWFiS Gdynia lost their tenth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Arka 2 will face Ogniwo Szcz. (#5) in Szczecin in the next round. AWFiS Gdynia will play on the road against Astoria 2 (#9) in Bydgoszcz and hope to win that game.
