Regular Season Round 13: Tur Bielsk Pdl. - AZS UMCS 80-77

AZS UMCS (10-1) recorded its first loss in Bielsk Podlaski. Visitors were edged by first ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl. (10-2) 80-77. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Tur Bielsk Pdl. players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Forward Lukasz Kuczynski (196-85) nailed 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and center Filip Pruefer (208-96) accounted for 19 points and 9 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and power forward Mateusz Wisniewski (202-91) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for AZS UMCS in the defeat. Four AZS UMCS players scored in double figures. Despite that victory Tur Bielsk Pdl. went down to second position due to points difference. AZS UMCS at the other side still keeps top place with one game lost. Tur Bielsk Pdl. will play against AZS UJK (#6) in Kielce in the next round. AZS UMCS will play on the road against Pabianice (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
