Not a big story in a game in Dongguan where 9th ranked Vermilion Birds (8-8) were outplayed by sixth ranked Flame (10-5) 80-60 on Thursday. Flame dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Vermilion Birds' 18. Flame forced 28 Vermilion Birds turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. International point guard Tongtong Wu (176-94) fired 23 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Forward Jinbo Xing (181-96) chipped in 8 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Yue Yu (178-99) produced 18 points and the former international guard Yi Shen (174-93) added 7 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Flame maintains sixth position with 10-5 record, which they share with Beijing. Loser Vermilion Birds keep the ninth place with eight games lost.
