Regular Season Round 12: BC Lulea - Umea 91-85

Rather expected game when 8th ranked Umea (2-9) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked BC Lulea (6-4) 91-85 on Friday. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-85. The best player for the winners was the former international center Adam Ronnqvist (181-90) who scored 34 points (!!!) and 7 assists. American Steven Davis (203-93, college: Wright St., agency: Players Group) chipped in 20 points and 9 rebounds. BC Lulea's coach Peter Oqvist allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Germain Jordan (198-86, college: Dillard) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and international Nathan Dawit (192-94) added 26 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists respectively. Four Umea players scored in double figures. BC Lulea maintains fifth position with 6-4 record. Umea lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with nine games lost. BC Lulea will meet at home league's second-placed Norrkoping Dolphins in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Umea will play against KFUM Jamtland (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
