Very predictable result when seventh ranked Trefl 2 Sopot (5-5) smashed at home 12th ranked AWFiS Gdynia (1-10) 111-62 on Saturday. Trefl 2 Sopot forced 26 AWFiS Gdynia turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by AWFiS Gdynia's players. Center Sebastian Rompa (210-1) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and point guard Milosz Toczek (182-5) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Trefl 2 Sopot players scored in double figures. At the losing side Mateusz Burlinski (196-0) responded with 11 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Maciej Dalak (189-95) scored 12 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Trefl 2 Sopot moved-up to sixth place. AWFiS Gdynia lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with ten games lost. Trefl 2 Sopot will face Astoria 2 (#9) in Bydgoszcz in the next round. AWFiS Gdynia will play on the road against Astoria 2 in Bydgoszcz and hope to win that game.
