Everything went according to plan when second ranked Tochigi B. (18-4) beat at home 7th ranked Toyota Alvark (12-10) 75-69 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. International forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) chipped in 19 points during the contest. At the losing side American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and Greek DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tochigi B. maintains second position with 18-4 record having just one point less than leader Chiba J. Loser Toyota Alvark keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Tochigi B. will face again Toyota Alvark (#7) in Tokyo in the next round where they are favorite.
