There was a minor upset in Barcelona where one of their biggest challengers Viladecans (7-4) was defeated by sixth ranked Segle XXI (6-3) 67-56 on Saturday. Viladecans was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Marta Morales (185-3) who scored 17 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Gisela Sanchez (191-3) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Marta Guerrero (-92) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and Sonia Pascual (-83) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Segle XXI moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Viladecans keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Segle XXI's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Barcelona Barca CBS.
