Regular Season Round 11: KKS Olsztyn - AZS UW 81-61

Rather predictable result when third ranked KKS Olsztyn (7-5) smashed at home 6th ranked AZS UW (4-8) 81-61 on Saturday. It was a great evening for guard Alicja Wawrzyniak (174-90) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Joanna Markiewicz (184-91) helped adding 18 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Point guard Milena Krzyzaniak (166-90, agency: Promotex) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Kinga Dzierbicka (168-97) scored 9 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for KKS Olsztyn. Despite that victory KKS Olsztyn went down to fifth position (Group A) due to points difference. AZS UW lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh place with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
