Regular Season Round 10: Cantbasket - Avila 86-71

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Cantbasket (5-3) beat 9th ranked Avila (1-5) in Santander 86-71 on Saturday. Cantbasket looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Rasheed Worrell (203-96, college: Lynn) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). Forward Alvaro Reyes-Abad (201-97, college: MSU Denver) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Worrell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Naturalized Argentinian Ezequiel Herrera (185-96) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and point guard Antonio Izquierdo (190-93, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Avila. Five Avila players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Cantbasket have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with UAF Lucentum. Avila lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
