Regular Season Round 11: Polonia W-wa - MKS Pruszkow 54-52

The most exciting game of round 11 in the 1Liga took place in Warszawa. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of second-ranked MKS Pruszkow (9-3) to leader Polonia W-wa (11-0) 54-52 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of MKS Pruszkow. Polonia W-wa forced 20 MKS Pruszkow turnovers. It was a great evening for Klaudia Sosnowska (186-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 16 points and 7 rebounds. Center Martyna Leszczynska (190-0) helped adding 5 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Marzena Marciniak (183-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Olivia Szumelda-Krzycka (183-90) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Polonia W-wa have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 11-0 record. MKS Pruszkow at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Polonia W-wa are looking forward to face Politechn.Gd II (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MKS Pruszkow will have a break next round.
