Regular Season Round 15: Czarni - Prudnik 90-82

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Czarni (13-2) beat 15th ranked Prudnik (4-11) in Slupsk 90-82 on Saturday. Czarni dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Prudnik's 30 and made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Czarni forced 21 Prudnik turnovers. Strangely Prudnik outrebounded Czarni 39-22 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for guard Piotr Smigielski (190-89) who led his team to a victory with 22 points and 7 assists. Center Dawid Slupinski (206-92) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Tomasz Madziar (195-92) answered with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and center Tomasz Nowakowski (207-90) added 19 points in the effort for Prudnik. Four Czarni and five Prudnik players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Czarni. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Walbrzych. Prudnik lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifteenth place with 11 games lost. Czarni will face Miasto Szkla (#8) in Krosno in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Prudnik will play at home against Pruszkow (#11) and hope to win that game.
