Regular Season Round 23: Aomori W. - Yamagata 74-73

Important game to mention about took place in Aomori. Eighth ranked Aomori W. (3-18) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Yamagata (9-14) 74-73 on Saturday evening. Aomori W. brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a great evening for American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. Spanish-Dominican Orlando Sanchez (206-88, college: St.John's) helped adding 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American forward Andrew Randall (198-90, college: Temple) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import forward Keith Clanton (205-90, college: UCF) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aomori W. maintains eighth place with 3-18 record. Yamagata at the other side keeps the sixth position with 14 games lost. Aomori W. will again play against higher ranked Yamagata (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Yamagata will have a break next round.
