There was no surprise when 12th ranked Lucca (1-6) was defeated on the road by second ranked Bologna (11-1) 86-78. The winners were led by American swingman Brooque Williams (172-89, college: California, PA) who scored that evening 31 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian forward Ana-Marija Begic (191-94) supported her with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Bologna's coach Lorenzo Serventi allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals by American guard Linnae Harper (175-95, college: Ohio St.) did not help to save the game for Lucca. The former international swingman Laura Spreafico (181-91, agency: LBM Management) added 16 points and 5 rebounds. Four Bologna and five Lucca players scored in double figures. Bologna have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 11-1 record having just one point less than leader Venezia. Lucca lost sixth consecutive game.
