No shocking result in a game when second ranked A3 Basket (8-2) beat on the road 9th ranked Wetterbygden (4-7) 69-58. Wetterbygden was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. A3 Basket forced 21 Wetterbygden turnovers. It was a great evening for German center Ama Degbeon (188-95, college: FSU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Janee Thompson (170-93, college: Kentucky) helped adding 13 points and 5 assists. Five A3 Basket players scored in double figures. American forward AShanti Coleman (188, college: Boise St.) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American-Irish forward Maura Fitzpatrick (178-97, college: Marist) scored 13 points and 5 steals. Wetterbygden's coach Krumesh Patel rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for A3 Basket. They maintain second place with 8-2 record behind leader Alvik Basket. Wetterbygden lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with seven games lost. A3 Basket will play against Visby Ladies (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Wetterbygden will play against Hogsbo in Goteborg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
