Regular Season Round 7: Le Portel - Orleans 65-70

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Le Portel (2-3) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Orleans (3-3) 70-65 on Saturday. Naturalized Beninese center Jean-Fabrice Dossou (210-0) fired a double-double by scoring 24 points and 18 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Swingman Kyllian Rotardier (194-2) chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Orleans' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Theo Magrit (198-1) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 12 assists and 4 steals and forward Alexandre Bondo (200-0) added 6 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Orleans moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gravelines. Loser Le Portel dropped to the twelfth position with three games lost. Orleans will face league's second-placed Cholet at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Le Portel will play against Le Mans (#5) and hope to win that game.
