Regular Season Round 7: Chalon - Monaco 75-68

Very expected game when 14th ranked Monaco (1-4) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Chalon (3-2) 75-68 on Saturday. Chalon outrebounded Monaco 45-30 including 33 on the defensive glass. Madagascar Sitraka Raharimanantoanina (207-5) fired 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Maxime Galin (202-2) chipped in 14 points and 9 rebounds. Chalon's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Point guard Rudy Demahis-Ballou (190-2) produced 21 points and Boukhary Cissoko (198-0) added 19 points respectively for lost side. Chalon moved-up to seventh place. Monaco lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. Chalon will face Bourg (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Monaco will play against Chalons-Reims and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
