Regular Season Round 8: Levallois - Boulazac 98-79

Leader Levallois delivered the seventh victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket (0-4) 98-79. Levallois shot 62.7 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Levallois especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. Bosnian forward Miralem Halilovic (205-91, agency: PEPI SPORT) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). International point guard David Michineau (191-94) contributed with 17 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Levallois players scored in double figures. Point guard Benjamin Sene (188-94) replied with 28 points and 7 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and Beninese power forward Mouphtaou Yarou (206-90, college: Villanova) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levallois maintains first position with 7-1 record. Boulazac Basket at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Levallois will play against Le Mans (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Boulazac Basket will play against Monaco (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
