The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Saga B. (16-7) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Nishinomiya S. (11-11) 93-72. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Saga B.. Nishinomiya S. made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American forward DeQuan Jones (203-90, college: Miami, FL) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds. Senegalese center Cheikh Mbodj (208-87, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Ryota Nakanishi (199-88) answered with 13 points and 8 rebounds and American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Saga B.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Nishinomiya S. maintains fifth place with 11-11 record. Saga B. at the other side still keeps top position with seven games lost. Nishinomiya S. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saga B. will play again at home against Nishinomiya S. and is hoping to win this game.
