Regular Season Round 10: CAM E.Soler 2 - Martos 55-95

There was an upset when much higher ranked CAM E.Soler 2 (4-4) was smashed by tenth ranked Martos (2-4) in Melilla 95-55 on Saturday. Martos dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to CAM E.Soler 2's 22. They outrebounded CAM E.Soler 2 51-35 including a 41-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. Martos looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a very good performance for Swedish forward Uros Cigoja (198-98) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds. Argentinian guard Alejandro Fidalgo (180-82) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 assists for the winners. Center Javier Gonzalez (207-92) replied with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Serbian forward Marko Orlic (203-95, college: Keiser) added 11 points in the effort for CAM E.Soler 2. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Martos moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted CAM E.Soler 2 dropped to the third position with four games lost. Martos will face Almeria (#7) at home in the next round.
