Regular Season Round 4: Pozzuoli - RO Luiss 73-65

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Pozzuoli (2-2) won against at home one of their biggest challengers Roma Luiss (2-2) 73-65 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Nicola Savoldelli (184-97, agency: SLN) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian Emin Mavric (203-98) who added 14 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side center Francesco Infante (204-92) responded with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Massimiliano Sanna (195-88) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Four Roma Luiss players scored in double figures. Roma Luiss' coach Andrea Paccarie tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pozzuoli moved-up to third place in B, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Roma Luiss. Pozzuoli will face Salerno (#5) on the road in the next round. Roma Luiss will play against Formia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
