Regular Season Round 16: Avenida - Ensino 80-45

Liga Dia top team - Perfumerias Avenida (16-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed seventh ranked Maquinaria Ensino (7-9) in Salamanca 80-45. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Maquinaria Ensino. Worth to mention a quality performance of Serbian center Nikolina Milic (191-94) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 6 rebounds and American-British swingman Karlie Samuelson (183-95, college: Stanford, agency: Wasserman) who added 12 points during the contest. Four Perfumerias Avenida players scored in double figures. Perfumerias Avenida's coach Roberto Iniguez felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Vega Gimeno (185-91, college: RMU) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American forward Merritt Hempe (190-94, college: Georgia) scored 12 points. Perfumerias Avenida have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 16-0 record. Maquinaria Ensino at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Cadi La Seu. Perfumerias Avenida will play against Promete (#12) in Logrono in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Maquinaria Ensino will play at home against ASEFA Estudiantes (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
