Regular Season Round 12: Albino - Mantova 80-73

There was an upset when higher ranked Mantova (6-5) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Albino (4-8) 80-73 on Saturday. Mantova was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Patrizia De-Gianni (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Chiara Rizzo (177-4) who added 17 points during the contest. Four Albino players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was guard Giulia Monica (170-87) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and forward Laura Gatti (185-1) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Albino moved-up to eleventh place in A2. Loser Mantova keeps the seventh position with five games lost. Albino will face league's leader Udine on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
