Regular Season Round 11: Visby - Hogsbo 89-91

Tenth-ranked Visby Ladies (2-10) used its home court advantage to challenge sixth ranked Hogsbo (7-3). The visitors from Goteborg managed to secure only two-point victory 91-89. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Visby Ladies took a 4-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hogsbo had a 30-20 second period charge getting the lead and Visby Ladies were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 89-91. Hogsbo made 19-of-21 charity shots (90.5 percent) during the game. They also forced 19 Visby Ladies turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a great evening for Canadian guard Nofuente Ceejay (177-93, college: Humber) who led her team to a victory scoring 30 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 13-for-13 from the free throw line !!!). American center Kourtni Perry (188-93, college: Central St.) helped adding 18 points and 10 rebounds. American forward ALexus Harrison (188-95, college: SFU) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import Jessica Kelliher (183-97, college: Lewis) scored 27 points and 9 rebounds. Five Hogsbo and four Visby Ladies players scored in double figures. Hogsbo moved-up to third place. Visby Ladies lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. Hogsbo will play against Wetterbygden (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Visby Ladies will play against the league's second-placed A3 Basket in Umea and hope to get back on the winning track.
