Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Alba and bottom-ranked Alessandria had identical 0-3 record. But Alessandria was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Alba 89-75 on Saturday night. Alba outrebounded Alessandria 48-32 including 34 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Mattia Coltro (181-97) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Andrea Danna (187-90, agency: Players Group) who added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Alba's coach Luca Jacomuzzi used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Brazilian swingman Angelo Guaccio (193-98) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws) and Alessandro Ferri (193-93) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Alba (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in B, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Alessandria still closes the standings with four games lost. Alba will face Cesena (#15) on the road in the next round.
