Regular Season Round 10: Tormes - Burgos Nissan 72-63

Not a big story in a game when one of their biggest challengers Burgos Nissan (4-2) lost to top-ranked Tormes (7-0) in Salamanca 63-72 on Sunday. Tormes forced 20 Burgos Nissan turnovers. Burgos Nissan was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for Bosnian Sandro Gacic (201-96) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds. Senegalese forward Omar Lo (206-97, college: CBU) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Tormes players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Khadim Fall (205-0) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Angel Infante (180-98) added 23 points in the effort for Burgos Nissan. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tormes have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record which they share with defeated Burgos Nissan. Loser Burgos Nissan still keeps top place with two games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
