Regular Season Round 12: Treviso - Virtus BO 72-98

There was a small surprise when second ranked Virtus BO (7-4) smashed on the road their close opponent Treviso (5-6) 98-72 on Sunday. Virtus BO looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian guard Milos Teodosic (195-87) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists and naturalized Bosnian forward Amar Alibegovic (206-95, college: St.John's) who added 14 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Virtus BO players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Polish guard David Logan (184-82, college: Indianapolis) with 19 points and American point guard Dewayne Russell (180-94, college: GCU) scored 8 points and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Loser Treviso dropped to the third place with six games lost. Virtus BO will face league's leader Armani Milano at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Treviso will play against Openjobmetis VA in Varese and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
