Regular Season Round 12: Moncalieri - Udine 52-66

Serie A2 top team - Udine (10-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Moncalieri (7-3) 66-52. Strangely Moncalieri outrebounded Udine 47-28 including a 19-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international guard Antonia Peresson (175-95, college: Georgia Tech) who scored that evening 20 points and 6 rebounds and guard Anna Turel (173-2) supported her with 17 points. Even a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds by Ilenia Cordola (183-96) did not help to save the game for Moncalieri. DR Congolese center Lydie Katshitshi (185-98) added 4 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Udine maintains first position in A2 with 10-1 record. Moncalieri at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. Udine will play against Albino (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Moncalieri will play against Crema (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
