Regular Season Round 10: Torta del Casar - Real Betis 2 52-57

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Real Betis 2 (2-4) won against 7th ranked Torta del Casar (2-4) in Caceres 57-52 on Sunday. Real Betis 2 dominated down low during the game scoring 36 of its points in the paint compared to Torta del Casar's 16. Real Betis 2 forced 20 Torta del Casar turnovers. It was a very good performance for Argentinian Augusto Roveres who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Dong Hao (196-2) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Edu Chacon (180-99) replied with 17 points and Alejandro Martinez (-2) added 10 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Torta del Casar. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Real Betis 2 moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Torta del Casar. Real Betis 2 will face higher ranked Penarroya (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
