Regular Season Round 4: Fiorenzuola - Piadena 80-93

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Piadena and 10th ranked Fiorenzuola had identical 1-2 record. But Fiorenzuola was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Piadena 93-80 on Sunday night. Piadena shot 62.3 percent from the field. Piadena outrebounded Fiorenzuola 35-19 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 70.0 percentage. Piadena looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Thomas Tinsley (193-96) who helped to win the game recording 21 points (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and guard Matteo Motta (193-92, agency: SLN) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side swingman Milo Galli (195-95) responded with 17 points and 7 assists and the former international power forward Giovanni Allodi (206-94, agency: SLN) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Fiorenzuola's coach Gianluigi Galetti tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Piadena (2-2) moved-up to sixth place in B, which they share with 4 other teams. Newly promoted Fiorenzuola dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. Piadena will face higher ranked Piacenza (#4) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Fiorenzuola will play against Varese (#6) and hope to win that game.
