No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Sesto SG (7-4) smashed on the road 10th ranked Broni (3-9) 69-36. Sesto SG dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Broni's 16. Sesto SG forced 24 Broni turnovers and outrebounded them 45-34 including 34 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by Slovakian forward Sabina Oroszova (190-93, college: EIU, agency: Basket Promotion Agency) who scored that evening 12 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Costanza Verona (170-99, agency: LBM Management) supported her with 14 points. Even 8 points and 6 rebounds by the former international power forward Sara Madera (187-0) did not help to save the game for Broni. Power forward Giulia Rulli (183-91) added 5 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sesto SG moved-up to fifth place. Broni at the other side keeps the tenth position with nine games lost. Sesto SG's next round opponent will be Empoli (#6) at home. Broni will play against Costa Masnaga (#7) and hope to win that game.
