Regular Season Round 5: Holon - Ramat Hasharon 66-63

Important game to mention about took place in Holon. Fourth ranked Holon (3-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 9th ranked Ramat Hasharon (1-4) 66-63 on Monday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Holon made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 18 rebounds and 5 assists. Swingman Sequoia Holmes (183-86, college: UNLV) contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Guard Jackie Young (183-97, college: Notre Dame, agency: Wasserman) answered with 29 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and guard Jennie Simms (183-94, college: ODU) added 14 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Ramat Hasharon. The victory was the third consecutive win for Holon. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Ramat Gan and Bnot Hertzeliya. Ramat Hasharon at the other side dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Rishon Le-Zion and Raanana. Holon will play against league's leader Ramla on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ramat Hasharon will play against the league's second-placed Petah Tikva (#2) to get more than just one victory in their record.
