Bottom-ranked Hasharon managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of five consecutive losses on Tuesday night. This time they won against eleventh-ranked Hasharon in Hod Hasharon 83-78. They outrebounded Hasharon 43-21 including a 32-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for American point guard JeQuan Lewis (186-94, college: VCU) who led the winners and scored 24 points and 8 assists. Gil Amitay (198-89) accounted for 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. Four Hasharon players scored in double figures. American guard Xavier Moon (188-95, college: Morehead St.) came up with a triple-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists and Jamaican power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Hasharon in the defeat. Hasharon's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hasharon (2-5) moved-up to thirteenth place. Hasharon lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. They share it with M.Raanana and E.Yavne. Hasharon will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hasharon will play against H.Galilee (#5) in Kazrin and hope to secure a win.
