Not a big story in a game when 16th ranked Cerrado (1-11) lost to tenth ranked Pato Basquete (5-7) in Pato Branco 68-79 on Tuesday. It was a very good performance for point guard Augusto Leao (184-98) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Isaac Thornton (193-91, college: Fairmont St.) contributed with 20 points for the winners. Four Pato Basquete players scored in double figures. The former international point guard Henrique Coelho (184-93) answered with 18 points and 7 assists and guard Paulo Da-Costa (193-94) added 16 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Cerrado. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Pato Basquete moved-up to ninth place. Cerrado lost their seventh game in a row. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
