Regular Season Round 11: Clavijo - Zentro Basket 87-65

There was a surprise result in Logrono where ninth ranked Clavijo (5-6) outscored 4th placed Zentro Basket (5-4) 87-65 on Tuesday. Clavijo forced 19 Zentro Basket turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Jaume Lobo (180-97) who scored 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Senegalese center Wally Niang (206-96) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Four Clavijo players scored in double figures. Nacho Rodriguez (200-94) produced 19 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Argentinian Agustin Barreiro (203-99) added 11 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Clavijo maintains ninth place in Silver with 5-6 record. Newly promoted Zentro Basket dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Clavijo will face Moron (#14) in Morón de la Frontera in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
