Regular Season Round 9: Ferrara - Rieti 84-75

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Ferrara (5-2) defeated at home 11th ranked Rieti (3-5) 84-75 on Wednesday. Ferrara looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a good game for guard Alessandro Panni (186-91) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Naturalized Swiss power forward Patrick Baldassarre (201-86, agency: Players Group) contributed with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. American forward Steve Taylor-Jr (206-93, college: Toledo) answered with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and center Quirino De-Laurentiis (206-92) added 14 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Rieti. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ferrara maintains fourth place with 5-2 record. Rieti lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Ferrara will face Chieti (#5) on the road in the next round. Rieti will play against Cento and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
