Regular Season Round 5: Bank of Taiwan - Jutai Techn. 112-74

An interesting game for Bank of Taiwan (4-5) which played against 4th placed Jutai Techn. (3-6). Third ranked Bank of Taiwan had an easy win 112-74. Bank of Taiwan dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Jutai Techn.'s 42. Bank of Taiwan forced 19 Jutai Techn. turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American swingman Zak Irvin (198-94, college: Michigan) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 9 rebounds, 11 assists and 5 steals. International center Zong-Rong Hsieh (200-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) for the winners. Five Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. The former international forward Yi-Chin Su (195-93) answered with 13 points and 5 rebounds and forward Lan-Deng Bu (200-93) added 11 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Jutai Techn.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bank of Taiwan maintains third place with 4-5 record having seven points less than leader Taiwan Beer. Jutai Techn. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fourth position with six games lost. Bank of Taiwan are looking forward to face league's leader Taiwan Beer in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jutai Techn. will play against the league's second-placed Yulon Luxgen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
