Seventh-ranked Spojnia (8-9) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Kosynierzy (12-6) in Wroclaw on Wednesday. Kosynierzy managed to secure only one-point victory 95-94. However their fans expected easier game. Kosynierzy looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Kosynierzy made 8 blocks. Power forward Aleksander Dziewa (205-97, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and Serbian point guard Strahinja Jovanovic (185-96) chipped in 15 points and 10 assists during the contest. Kosynierzy's coach Oliver Vidin used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was American center Baylee Steele (211-97, college: Duquesne) with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Mateusz Kostrzewski (200-89, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds. Four Kosynierzy and five Spojnia players scored in double figures. Kosynierzy maintains fourth position with 12-6 record. Spojnia at the other side dropped to the eighth place with nine games lost. They share the position with GTK Gliwice. Kosynierzy are looking forward to face Anwil (#11) in Wloclawek in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Spojnia will play at home against GTK and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
